Let me remind you that in the last US general election, one of the reasons why Hilary Clinton lost to Donald Trump was a large number of her supporters were too confident and they did not bother to cast their votes. As a result, Donald Trump won.
Based on the large number of PH ceramah attendees, many people might feel so confident that they do not bother to go to vote.
Remember it is the duty for every citizen to go to vote.
Here is the statistic of the 2013 GE votes distribution:
BN: *5,237,699*
PR: *5,623,984*
Voting Age Population: 17,883,697-18,400,570
Registered but didn’t vote: 2,010,855
Didn’t register: *4,615,695-5,132,568*
Total didn’t vote: *6,626,550-7,143,423*
Based on the voting age population, the percentage will be:
BN: 28.46%-29.29%
PR: 30.56%-31.45%
Didn’t vote: *37.05%-38.82%!!!
The largest group is actually the group who didn’t vote. It is between 6.6 million to 7.1 million people. While voted for BN is only 5.2 million people.
About 7 million people who didn’t go to the polls had decided the fate of this country. They stayed at home, did nothing, they felt that politics are no serious matters and felt that their personal choices do not affect the overall situation, they chose not to vote. Perhaps some of them also complained on the corruption and rising cost of living.
As a result, BN won handsomely, although only with 28% or 29 % of support. Unbelievable isn’t it?
In the last GE13, BN won 47.38% and the oppositions won 50.87% of total votes, yet the oppositions lost control of the Government because the BN Government allocated more seats in the small towns and villages where there are more Malay populations who voted for the BN Government.
Fortunately, Dr Mahathir has formed a political party, called Pribumi Bersatu, to join PH. All the parties in PH have decided to appoint Dr Mahathir to be the next Prime Minister if PH were to win in the coming GE 14. This will attract a large number of UMNO members to vote for PH.
The coming GE’s polling date is fixed on Wednesday 9 May 2018. The BN Government purposely fixed it on a working day so that outstation voters will have difficulties to go back home to vote. Outstation workers are people who could not find work in their home town easily and have to work in outstations, a large number in Singapore.
Remember if you vote for Pakatan Harapan, the new Government will create more work for you so that you do not have to work in outstations.
When Dr. Mahathir was PM, he declared vision 2020 to make Malaysia a fully developed Nation. Although 2020 is only about 2 years away, we cannot expect him to make Malaysia a developed Nation within such a short period. But I am confident that he will not
forget his vision when PH wins and he becomes the next PM.
I trust you will circulate this message to all your contacts so that they can also distribute it to all their contacts to encourage more people to go to vote out the corrupted BN Government.
