About 2 weeks ago, I celebrate my 86th birthday and I reflected on my achievement over the years. I think it is appropriate to show what Steve Job said on his dying bed.
Steve Job, a co- founder of Apple with a net worth of US$ 10.2 billion passed away on 5 Oct 2011 at 56 years old. On his dying bed he said with all my money, I could not take any money with me when I die nor I could employ someone to die for me.
During my life time, I should have realised that our ultimate aim in life is happiness and I should have spent more time in giving away some of my money to help poor and needy people.
Although my wealth is only a fraction of Steve Job’s, I have given more than 300 scholarships to help needy students to complete their tertiary educations.
My scholarship conditions:
- Scholarships will only be given to needy students whose parents are earning less than RM3,000 per month. Applicants must have passed SPM with at least 5A.
- All scholarship recipients after completion of their degree courses are not required to work for me or pay me back the money, I spent on them. But they should remember that when they were poor, I helped them and when the have spare money they should help other needy students.
By this way, I hope to create more and more charity workers as the years go by thus creating more happiness.
When I see people happy, I also feel happy.
If you type koon yew yin on google search, you can read more of my achievement.
If you type idiot on google search you can see Donald Trump.
I trust every reader of this article will follow my footsteps and live a useful and happy life.
